Henderson Xeriscape provides end-to-end xeriscape landscaping services covering every phase of the process. Our xeriscape design work begins with a comprehensive site assessment that evaluates soil composition, caliche depth, drainage patterns, sun and shade exposure, and existing irrigation infrastructure. Henderson soils present specific challenges that require specific solutions, and we address all of them in the design phase rather than discovering them after installation has begun.
Plant selection and horticulture consulting are central to everything we do. A xeric garden is only as good as the plants in it, and plant selection in the Mojave Desert requires genuine knowledge of which drought-tolerant species establish reliably in Henderson conditions, how they behave across seasonal temperature swings including winter frost events, and how they work together visually across the full year. We source waterwise plants, xeriscape shrubs, xeriscape grasses, and native species that are proven performers in this specific environment and compose them into landscapes that look intentional and designed rather than planted and abandoned.
Soil preparation and mulching are non-negotiable components of every xeriscape installation we complete. Properly amended soil supports plant establishment, improves drainage, and reduces the supplemental irrigation required during the critical first growing season. Mulching applied at the correct depth conserves soil moisture, moderates root zone temperature during Henderson's extreme summer heat, and suppresses weed growth that competes with establishing plants for water and nutrients.
Irrigation system upgrades and reduction are the final piece of the xeriscape system. We assess existing irrigation infrastructure, reconfigure or replace inefficient systems with drip irrigation calibrated to the actual water requirements of the installed plant palette, and eliminate the overwatering that drives up water bills and stresses drought-tolerant plants that do not need the volume conventional systems deliver.
